OLDFAITHFULANDSTARTRAILS2

Old Faithful and Star Trails

I am an award winning Fine Art Photographer specializing in color Nature, Landscape, and Wildlife. My work relies heavily on the use of light (time of day), line, shape, form, and texture. Images are frequently simple, moments in time, and tell a story and/or bring about emotional response.  Tripods are used when possible to support my cameras. Older work was captured on transparency/slide material taken with 4″ X 5″, Medium Format, and 35mm cameras. Current work is taken with primarily with Sony A7R series cameras (and Cambo Actus Mini with the Sony bodies as digital backs) with a battery of Manual Focus and 2 Sony long zoom lenses. Photographic training is largely self taught as well as Work Shops with Art Wolfe, Dewitt Jones, Irene Hinke Sacilotto, and Charles Campbell. I am a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and a Juried Member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen in Photography. My work has been used for stock photographs for publication in books, magazines, calendars, and posters and has been used by Leica Camera USA, Gitzo Tripods (Now Manfrotto and in their corporate offices), The Sierra Club, as well as for my Printer of more than 20 years Bill Nordstrom in his final form as LaserLight Print Maker and in his previous form as EverColor Fine Art. Fine Art Prints sold at Art Shows for many years.

I have formal education and earned a BA in Geology, an MS in Zoology/Ecology, and an MS in Geology, all from Rutgers University. I worked as an Environmental Consultant for 8 years and worked previously as a Science Teacher at The Newark Museum.
